PROJECT OBJECTIVE
The aim of the project was to create a modern hotel automation system that allows guests to independently and contactlessly manage the entire process from booking to their stay, while also making it easier for staff to monitor the condition of the facility. The project also aimed to increase guest comfort by introducing smart room control functions and optimising energy consumption in unoccupied rooms.
SOLUTION
The hotel has installed the Ampio system, which integrates guest service and room management functionalities into a single solution. A key element of the installation is a self-service kiosk in the lobby, allowing guests to check in, make payments and access their rooms without having to contact staff.
Thanks to integration with booking platforms, guests receive a unique code after making a reservation, which allows them to enter the building and their room. The system also offers the option of issuing an access card at the kiosk. All rooms are equipped with smart control functions, accessible via both a touch panel and a mobile application.
Functions of the implemented system:
- Automated check-in and check-out: guests can manage their bookings and payments themselves via a kiosk.
- Room control: each room has features for managing lighting, air conditioning, temperature, radio and alarm clock settings.
- Notifications: the system informs guests about their arrival, upcoming check-out, and also detects excessive noise during quiet hours.
- Energy consumption optimisation: the system automatically switches off lighting and reduces energy consumption in empty rooms, and maintains a lower temperature in unoccupied rooms.
- Staff support: hotel staff can remotely monitor the condition of the facility and manage key functions (e.g. lighting, air conditioning, music).
The Ampio system provided the hotel with a modern and effective solution, while increasing guest satisfaction and service standards.
